This Litens tensioner is manufactured by the Original Equipment (O.E.) supplier of this popular General Motors tensioner. This "OE Exact"* part for the aftermarket meets all original equipment form, fit, and function specifications. (*O.E. Exact - Original Equipment manufacturers prohibits the use of their part number or logo on parts sold to other customers. Therefore, the Litens aftermarket part may have minor cosmetic differences but still be exact in performance and design). Note: Engineering has eliminated the dust shield (pulley washer) and maintained the OE specified steel pulley Choosing The Correct Replacement Part: Both the original equipment and Litens aftermarket tensioner use a round spring versus a flat spring and are marked "Made in Canada". Note: This drive has experienced drive issues due to the A/C system. GM issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB #01139B/C) suggesting replacement of the A/C compressor to resolve belt jumps and flutter issues). Litens includes a Tech-Tip concerning this issue with the tensioner.
